After a decade of learning the writing craft, I have reconnected with the joy of reading stories to my taste and writing what I really like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I love to write delightful sci-fi &amp; fantasy stories full of adventure, mystery, and romance for adult readers to have fun with.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reading and writing have both been part of my life since childhood. Like many adults however, I slowly lost touch with both when I went to college, then proceeded to start a career in communications in the video game industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A few years into my career, I discovered simplicity and slow living, two topics quite popular in the early 2010s. That&#8217;s when I reconnected with stories, both as a reader and writer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then, in 2016, I burned out and became self-employed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During those years, I still worked freelance as a communications specialist, while pursuing what I was curious about. I learned the writing craft, joined a community of writers and got my first stories published. I learned how to paint watercolours and turned them into stickers and other creative stationery pieces. I opened my own art &amp; stationery shop and started making money with my art. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After seven years, I quit the communications missions to focus on my activity as an independant artist. However, I slowly lost touch with writing again during these years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I did keep reading though, better understanding my taste as both a reader and a writer. I discovered what kind of stories brought me joy, and what I really wanted to write.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I like imaginative sci-fi and fantasy stories to get lost in, mature and nuanced for an adult audience, but still light, delightful and fun to read. And now, I&#8217;m itching to write my own again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, I am an independant artist based in Paris. As my main activity, I own an <a href=\"https:\/\/cafeauxetoiles.myshopify.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">art &amp; stationery store<\/a> and share creative ressources to slow down in French. My life is still quite chaotic with all these activities and a toddler at home, but I have decided to make space for writing again.
